Hi, I've been asked to explain my confidentiality on the job, not sure what they're looking for?? I tell them in one job I had access to student files and was expected not to discuss them. In another job with a non-profit I was privy to financial board decisions and again was expected not discuss the issues.

Are these good examples of confidentiality for interviews?

Thank you,
Nick Gagalis

The impression I get is exactly what you think it is. Is this happening in an email discussion, an online form of sort sort, or something else? If you're unsure, there's no penalty for sharing what you've said here, along with asking if that's what they meant. If you demonstrate that you're trying to establish clear communication with them, it can't hurt. We could all be a little more concise in our responses (including me!).
